Soft Cheese Workshop with Chef Joe Fox: March 17th

Date/Time: Saturday, March 17th, 2018, 5:00-8pm

Location: The Monkeypod Jam Shop, 2-3687 Kamualii HWY, Next to the Lawai Post Office

Workshop Includes: Make cheese at home after learning the ropes from Chef Joe Fox! He will be teaching techniques needed to master house made Ricotta, Mozzarella and Mascarpone. Class will include spritzers and pupus highlighting the three cheese variations made in the workshop.

Chef Joe Fox: After graduating from the International Culinary Institute in Campbell, Calif., Chef Joe Fox worked at La Mere Michelle in Saratoga Calif. He cultivated cooking techniques at the French restaurant by butchering whole animals and making everything from scratch. At Caffe Lucio, in Santa Cruz, Calif., chef Lucio Fanni taught Fox how to create simple meals using a few, high-quality ingredients. He combined technique and simplicity as the sous chef for the Poppy Ridge Golf Course in Livermore, Calif., and in his free time, brewed beer at home.

 

Dress Code: Please wear long pants and toe covered shoes.

Tools: Please bring a cutting board and kitchen knife.

BYOW: This is a Bring Your Own Wine event. We will gladly open and pour your glass at no cost.

Workshops are non-refundable. Once registered, please find someone to fill your seat if you are unable to attend.
