Workshop Includes: Learn how to create perfect meringue with MPJ's Pastry Chef, Caitlyn Winfield. She will be teaching Italian, French and Swiss styles in the form of marshmallow, Brazo De Mercedes, and a French Macaron demonstration. This is an introductory course and a prerequisite workshop for our advanced French Macaron Workshop.
Pupus, spritzers and a vegetarian dinner will be served. We will enjoy our creations for dessert!
Chef Caitlyn is the Pastry Chef at Monkeypod Jam. She and her husband moved to Kauai from Brooklyn in December of 2016. Caitlyn holds degrees in Chinese and Linguistics from the University of Maryland and a Baking and Pastry degree from Stratford University. Her impressive resume includes pastry positions at Bar Boulud and Agern in NYC as well as the esteemed Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
Dress Code: Please wear long pants and toe covered shoes.
Tools: Please bring a cutting board and kitchen knife if you are able.
BYOW: This is a Bring Your Own Wine event. We will gladly open and pour your glass at no cost.
Workshops are non-refundable. Once registered, please find someone to fill your seat if you are unable to attend.
